QUEENOLOGY: noun; the study of being a queen

What exactly is the study of being a queen? I’m here to tell you. Let’s start from the beginning.
ALL little girls are born to be queens. We are created in the image of God, who is the King of all Kings, so of course we were meant to be rulers. But somewhere along the way, our destiny was lost. Maybe our parents didn’t raise us the way they should have, or we became too influenced by what was on TV. Somehow, we went from queens to “bad bitches” and “hoes” and my personal favorite, “THOTs.” (Also, Trap Queens are NOT queens!) We lowered our standards tremendously and became content with these titles. We lost respect for ourselves, which made society and our men lose respect for us. Now, the majority of us don’t know how to be women. We have lost touch with our femininity and are hardened because of the world around us. What we need to do is get back to our roots and realize who we are supposed to be. We are QUEENS and we need KINGS so we can raise future royalty.
I was watching a very cute video of a man having a conversation with his little girl. He said, “You are a what?” And she replied, “Princess.” “And one day you will be a queen. When you become a queen, you will marry a king. And he will do what to you?” She replied, “Respect me.” “And he will never put his hands on you unless he’s showing you love.” We all need to hear these words at some point in our lives (the sooner the better), but unfortunately most of us did not have this love and support in our childhood homes. Just in case no one has told you these things, I’m telling you now. You deserve a king who will always love and respect you, but you need to love and respect yourself first.
Au Natural means in a natural state; without anything added. I'm here to tell you that we don't need anything to be a queen. Of course weave and makeup and designer bags make us feel like royalty, but it's not necessary. We're just as fabulous with all of the add-ons as we are without it (flips fro)!
My posts are pretty much just advice I have given my girlfriends along the way and words that I wish someone would’ve told me years ago. I want us to learn to become our best selves, mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. If you want to read about relationships click on Queen of Hearts; for my hair and makeup experiences, click Beauty Queens; and for some workout and fitness motivation click Healthy Queens. Everything that I write comes from the heart and my own personal experiences. I will admit to you that I’m not perfect… I’m nowhere near it. I used to be lost, too. Fortunately, I have discovered that I deserve more than what I was allowing myself to receive. And you do too! I’m still studying how to be a queen myself, so we can learn together!

Whitney
